What is meditation

This book has two purposes: to present the fundamental principles of Buddhism and to describe meditation in a form that is understandable and practicable by all, with the help of some basic exercises. Buddhism is essentially a set of effective methods of dealing with the mind. According to the Buddha's teaching these methods, if we understand them and apply them in our life, they develop our innate ability to feel inner peace, compassion and wisdom by realizing the fundamental potential of our mind.
