In Buddhism the mind is considered the cause of all our problems, but also the privileged place of their dissolution. James Low reads the text of the theme "The mirror of clear meaning" as a profound commentary on that double conception of the mind, starting from a radical shift of angle: "mind", in Buddhism, can mean something more and different from this which is commonly understood with this concept, i.e. not so much the complex of intellectual, volitional, affective psychic faculties, and not even individual identity, but the sense of being there, the awareness of existence that precedes any specific identification with a defined personality from a name, from a past, and from a projection into the future.
