A deep listening
Author: Thich Naht Hanh
Deep listening is knowing how to stop and be pervaded by the object of our listening, becoming one with it, whether it is inside or outside. To listen in a new way, Thich Nhat Hanh teaches, it is necessary to remove the erroneous perceptions that one has about oneself and about others: in this way the way of speaking is also transformed, and the word becomes an instrument of happiness rather than a bearer of suffering. Deep listening is approached through sharing, one of the practices which Thich Nhat Hanh gives more space to as an instrument of peace. In this book we have collected the speeches that most dwell on the subject.
