Tangka Palden Lhamo
Palden lhamo of all the protective deities that we can invoke to intervene in our favor, she is the one who helps us in the most timely manner. It particularly protects practitioners of Dharma.
Palden lhamo, consort of Mahakala, is the patron deity of Tibet and of all the lineage of Dalai Lama and is much loved and popular among Tibetans and practitioners of Tibetan Buddhism. The lake dedicated to her south east of Lhasa, Called Lhamo Latso, was considered the lake of visions or oracles and was the holiest of Tibet. THE Lama most highly realized people came to its shores to gain insight into the future and obtain visions that would help them find future reincarnations of the Dalai Lama - among them the regent Reting Rimpoche which has received instructions regarding the current Dalai Lama.
Palden lhamo it is therefore also closely linked to divination and the vision of the future and its help is also invoked in this area. It eliminates the internal and external obstacles that often arise on the spiritual path, creating the conditions favorable to progress and to the attainment of spiritual realizations; it also helps to increase wisdom by being a wrathful manifestation of Sarasvati.
