Put out the fire of anger
Author: Thich Naht Hanh
Two thousand five hundred years ago, under the tree of enlightenment, the Buddha understood that there are three causes of unhappiness: wrong knowledge, obsessive desire, and anger. Of these conditions, the most dangerous is anger, capable in a single instant of undermining both the body and the soul to the very foundations, of destroying our spirituality. However, the Buddhist teachings found in this book reveal that the deep understanding of this emotion makes it possible to recognize, circumscribe and alleviate the suffering caused by anger, which thus becomes a fundamental means of transforming ourselves and bringing out our primordial goodness. Thanks to the "practice of happiness" and compassion, it is possible not only to overcome anger, but also to transform it into a powerful ally.
