Author: Aldo Bianco
In a popular district of Bari, between shopkeepers and common people, in the period between the second post-war period and the early seventies, the family story of the Partipilo takes place. The protagonists of the events narrated are the beautiful sisters Carolina and Benedetta, with completely different characters: the first competitive and extremely jealous, the second lonely and devoted. Victims and accomplices of the dynamics of their complicated relationship, marked by jealousies and ferocious betrayals with no holds barred. A clockwork complex that will lead one of the two sisters to carry out acts of serious violence against herself. Aldo Bianco, with irony and wisdom, gives us a novel with characters with a sanguine and surreal tone at the same time, for a story that, despite everything, leaves a glimmer of hope open.
