In the Eastern spiritual traditions, sleep and dreams have a great importance: one moves from one plane of existence to another, one loses and finds one's self. This book deals extensively with two important Tibetan meditation practices: dream yoga, that is, the ability to have lucid dreams while awake as a means and context for achieving liberation; and sleep yoga, which consists in remaining aware during sleep when the operations of the conceptual mind and the senses are suspended.
