Tulku Urgyen Rinpoche, born in eastern Tibet 1920, was a famous vajrayana Buddhist teacher of the twentieth century. Scholar and practitioner of the Kagyu and Nyungma Tibetan schools, he was the holder of important dzogchen and 'terma' teachings dating back to the guru Padmasambhava. He was distinguished by his profound meditative achievements and by his clear and concise teaching style, capable of condensing the subtleties of Buddhist philosophy into simple words, of immediate relevance to the present mood of the listener.
