Medium colored kata
Among the Tibetan traditions, the best known is the offering of a kata as a greeting. Kata is an auspicious symbol which gives a positive impetus to any initiative or relationship and indicates the good intentions of the person offering it. The Kata are brought on offer to religious images, such as statues depicting the Buddha, as well as lamas or other personalities. The offer of the kata indicates that the request does not imply corrupt thoughts or ulterior motives.
