Healing with form, energy and light
Author: Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche
In the world view of bön, the ancient indigenous religion of Tibet, all phenomena can be traced back to five sacred elements: earth, water, fire, air and space. The study of their interactions dominates Tibetan culture and forms the basis of medicine, astrology, psychology and the spiritual traditions of shamanism, tantra and dzogchen. But understanding their interactions must be related to experience and used to improve the quality of life. For this reason the author does not limit himself to illustrating the vision of the elements of the various Tibetan traditions, but describes the specific practices used by the bönpo, tantrists and dzogchen practitioners.
